Located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, the Museum of Natural History is one of the nation’s top five museums with more than 34 million specimens, including the world’s largest collection of butterflies and moths. As part of this trip, participants will experience a VIP Butterfly Rainforest Guided tour. In addition to the butterfly museum, participants will be able to tour the entire Museum of Natural History.  After lunch, spend some time at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens. The gardens consist of 24 major collections visually accessible from a 1.5 mile paved walkway. They include the largest public display of bamboos and the largest herb garden in the Southeast. Lunch will be at a restaurant TBD, not included in price.

NOTE: This day trip entails quite a bit of walking please take that into consideration when booking.

Itinerary:

8:30 am- Depart Lake Sumter Landing

10:00 am- Arrive at Museum

10:30 am – Tour

12:30 pm- Leave for lunch (Approximately)

2:30 pm- Tour of the Botanical Gardens

5:00 pm- Approximate arrival at Lake Sumter Landing
