  • We have been a privately owned company since August 2014. We are a Villages preferred company and the only transportation operator permitted to pick up within The Villages®.

  • You will receive a reminder email with anything you may need to know approximately 2-3 days before a Day Trip. You can also check the Day Trip web page for itinerary details. Please keep in my mind that itineraries are subject to change, based on the host discretion.

    For ticketed events, all tickets are dispersed on the day of travel at check in.

    For Multi- Day Trips, you will get an email reminding you to make final payment.

  • All Day Trips depart from our Lake Sumter Landing™ Transportation Depot (1045 Old Mill Run) across from Cody’s Roadhouse as well as Brownwood - located behind the Brownwood Hotel and The Center for Advanced Healthcare. (click here to see map)

    We also have a transportation depot at Spanish Springs that is utilized for private charters. All depots are available for private charter use.

  • The only thing you need for check-in is your name.

    Check in for Day Trips occurs about 10-15 minutes prior to trip departure in Lake Sumter and at time of departure in Brownwood.

Workman Transportation and Travel is not responsible for Travel Insurance and/or refunds on cancellations made after final payment dates.

  • Please join our wait-list! Fill out the form here: Click HERE to join Waitlist. If we get enough people on the wait-list, we may open a second bus or pick an additional date.

  • There are no assigned seats for the bus.

    For some ticketed events, we will assign seats at the venue.

    Please let us know if there is someone not on your reservation that you would like to sit with at an event.

  • All Multi-Day Trips are operated with 2018 or newer, luxury, 56- passenger motor-coaches.

    Most Day Trips are operated on these vehicles as well. In the event we have a smaller group, instead of cancelling the trip, we will take a smaller bus. Our fleet of over 60 vehicles is all top of the line equipment!

  • Every Day Trip includes transportation, bus driver tip and a bottle of water. All other inclusions are specific to the trip and will be stated on the website. Host gratuity is not included. If you feel your driver has done an excellent job, an additional tip is always appreciated.

  • Yes! We work with many groups and clubs within The Villages® to provide this service.

    There are 2 options:

    1. Your private trip is treated like our Day Trips; listed on our website for sign up, assigned a host, follows our refund policy, etc. You can choose a Day Trip we have previously done, or we can help you plan one of your own.

    2. Workman Transportation would be happy to charter a bus for you! We are the only motor-coach operator permitted for pick up within The Villages.®


The refund policy is available for viewing upon check out. Every order requires digital signature acknowledging agreement to Workman Transportation & Travel terms of service, refund & cancellation policies, disclaimers, privacy policy, and crowd notice/release.

REFUND/ CANCELLATION POLICY:

To cancel a booking, you must call the main office, 352-776-2500.

Multi Day Trips refund/ cancellation policies will be listed individually within each trip. We strongly encourage purchasing trip protection.

Day Trip Cancellation Policy:

No refunds will be issued for Day Trips cancelled less than 14 business days prior to trip date, unless otherwise stated.

If cancellation is made after the deadline date, there will be no refund.

Ticketed events are non-refundable.

All trips are transferable to another person. Customers are allowed to resell their seats on their own or gift them to another person.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Please see above for information on how to purchase trip protection.

A 10% restocking fee will be placed on ALL refunds.

Gift Certificate: These are non-refundable in all circumstances.

In the event a trip is cancelled by Workman Transportation & Travel, a full refund will be provided. Credit card refunds will be credited back to the card used for purchase. Cash payment will be refunded by check. Please allow 10-14 days for processing.
